Open Evenings, Talks and Workshops
Four dates in the studio calendar between October and March. All of them are small — the Paris atelier holds thirty people and the Copenhagen bench room holds twelve — and all of them are the kind of evening where you are expected to pick things up and ask what they cost.
Open Studio: Autumn Materials Evening
The full material library out on the benches for one evening, including the stone samples we usually only show at proposal stage. Studio leads on hand to explain why a slab that looks identical to another costs three times as much.

Joinery Bench Demonstration: Shadow Gaps and Reveals
Two hours at the bench with our lead joiner, cutting the shadow gap detail that appears in almost every project we publish. Twelve places, because that is how many people fit around the bench and still see the cut.

Talk: Circadian Lighting in Domestic Interiors
Our lighting designer on what changes when a house is lit to the hour rather than to a switch, what it costs to retrofit, and the three rooms where it makes no measurable difference and we do not specify it.

Workshop: Reading a Finish Schedule
A working session for clients partway through a commission, going column by column through a real schedule with the project names removed. Bring your own if you have one; most questions turn out to be about the fallback column.
